Glass Absinthe Fountain, 2 Spout

This two-spout, mouth-blown glass fountain is perfect for slowly pouring or dripping water to prepare a traditional French/Swiss absinthe. By slowly turning the fountain's spigot, the amount of water can vary from a slow drip to a gentle stream. 

This is a thick glass, commercial-grade fountain that can distribute various liquids. Although originally intended to add water to absinthe, our customers have used their fountain to serve wine, lemon water, and olive oil, among other uses.

Proper use consists of pouring an ounce of absinthe into an absinthe glass, then placing an absinthe spoon on top of the glass and a sugar cube atop the spoon. The fountain's lid is removed, and fresh water and ice are added to the glass bowl. The spigot is slightly turned, and the ice water pours or slowly drips from the fountain onto the piece of sugar. The cold sugar water then drips from the spoon into the glass of absinthe, releasing oils and perfuming the air with fennel, grand wormwood, and anise. The combination also turns milky white as the water mixes with the anise in the absinthe.

The fountain can accommodate 1 to 2 people at one time. The drink ratio varies from 1 part absinthe to 3 to 5 parts water, depending on one's preference.

Refresh water before each use. California Prop 65 compliant when properly used.

Upon receiving your fountain, we suggest washing it with hot water and dishwashing detergent.

The fountain and lid are commercial dishwasher safe, but the spouts must first be removed. The spouts and rubber gaskets should be handwashed.
